Texfire’s fiberglass EGLA fabrics have a mineral origin, mainly composed by silica (SiO2), in order to offer good thermal qualities. These fabrics belong to the E-GLASS category and are used to tailor all kind of flame retardant elements, insulating, able to withstand high temperatures and maintain their mechanical resistance keeping their flexibility and lightness.
These fabrics are composed by continuous filaments in order to raise their pulling resistance and their superficial softness, either they could be customized to raise their thermal insulating capacities. In normal conditions, they offer a continuous thermal resistance up to 550ºC. They are very used as the core of textile constructions for high temperatures due to their good mechanical qualities.
