HIGH TEMPERATURE SILICA 300 AL FABRIC
ALUMINIZED SILICA FABRIC ON ONE SIDE
The SILICA 300 AL flame retardant fabric has been developed to withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 850ºC without losing its structural integrity. Additionally, this fabric incorporates a 12-micron aluminum foil on one of its sides.
Its thermal resistance is provided by the filaments with which it is woven, composed of mineral fibers, mostly silica (95%). Silica is a mineral known for its excellent thermal stability and fire resistance, making SILICA 300 AL an ideal solution for industrial applications with extreme thermal demands.
SILICA 300 AL also stands out for its structural stability, even at high temperatures. This is due to its plain-weave structure, which gives it a locked and homogeneous structure.
This fabric has an average thickness of 0.38 mm, a weight of 400 g/m², and the fabric roll has an effective width of 90 cm.
Its structure and composition, combined with the aluminized finish on one side, make this fabric a very robust solution for protection against sources of radiant heat. It is ideal for solutions requiring high mechanical strength and advanced thermal protection, such as heat shields or flame barriers.
The SILICA 300 has been tested in Texfire's internal laboratory according to the ISO 15025 standard – Test method for limited flame spread – Achieving A1 and A2 classification. It has also been tested according to ISO 9151 – Determination of heat transmission when exposed to a flame – Achieving B1 classification. Additionally, it has been tested according to ISO 6942 – Evaluation of materials and material assemblies when exposed to a radiant heat source – Achieving C4 classification.
