ALUMINIZED AND FLAME RETARDANT THERMAL COVER FOR CILINDRIC DRUMS OF 200L

The flame retardant cover for 200-liter cylindrical drums has been designed to maintain the internal temperature of the drum for as long as possible. Made from Texfire’s ALTOX multi-layer fabric, it is a flame retardant fabric that acts as a thermal shield against contact with flames or other heat sources. The aluminized side of the fabric provides protection against radiant heat. Additionally, it is fully waterproof and fire resistant. This cover serves to protect and thermally insulate drums and their contents. Being opaque, it also protects against UV rays.

Its ergonomic design allows easy placement (by one person), fitting perfectly on cylindrical drums with a capacity of around 200 liters, an external diameter between 60-64 cm, and a height of 92 cm. Its optimal thermal usage range is between -5ºC and a maximum temperature of 80ºC. The cover has a flap on the top to facilitate access to the drum’s opening and a side closure with flame retardant Velcro for improved fit and easier installation. The lower part of the cover remains open for the placement of heating bases or for palletization.

The technical properties and qualities of the cover are due to Texfire's ALTOX fabric. Tested in our internal laboratories in compliance with UNE-EN ISO 6942 - Assessment of materials and material assemblies when exposed to a source of radiant heat - achieving the highest C4 rating. And according to UNE EN ISO 9151 - Determination of heat transmission in exposure to a flame - with a B2 rating, as a barrier against convective heat.
