EXTREME TEMPERATURE SILICA 300 FABRIC

SILICA FABRIC FOR EXTREME TEMPERATURES

The SILICA 300 is a flame retardant fabric capable of withstanding sustained temperatures above 1,000ºC, while maintaining its structural integrity. This makes it an ideal fabric for industrial applications requiring very high thermal resistance, such as in blast furnaces, engines, expansion joints, or other solutions that also demand high structural strength, like large-format fireproof blankets.

The threads used to weave SILICA 300 are made of mineral fibers, mostly silica fibers (95%), which is a mineral known for its excellent thermal stability and fire resistance.

SILICA 300 is manufactured with a plain weave, giving it a locked and very homogeneous structure that allows it to maintain its structural stability even when subjected to extreme temperatures.

This fabric has an average thickness of 0.35 mm, a weight of 300 g/m², and the fabric roll has a usable width of 92 cm.

SILICA 300 has been tested in the internal laboratory of Texfire according to the ISO 15025 standard – Test method for limited flame spread – achieving A1 and A2 ratings. It has also been tested according to the ISO 9151 standard – Determination of heat transmission during exposure to a flame – with a B1 rating.
