FLAME RETARDANT FABRIC REINFORCED WITH STEEL FILAMENTS
WELP2 660 IN is a fabric for high temperatures made of fiberglass reinforced with steel filaments and a coating on both sides, made of a polymer for high temperatures with aluminum particles. WELP2 660 IN is a fabric with good mechanical resistance even after being exposed to direct fire contact. It is, also, a fabric that is waterproof to liquids, acids, and fumes.
It resists 750ºC of temperature in continuous works and thanks to its steel filaments, it is able to maintain ins structural integrity even during and after being exposed to extreme temperatures or in direct contact to flames. This turns it into a suitable fabric to tailor fire barriers, being in a door shape or a fire curtain.
It also can be used to tailor pieces that have direct contact with heat sources, like oven doors, or to use it as a fabric of the hot side (interior) in thermal insulation blankets or other industrial solutions.
WELP2 660 IN has been submitted to different tests in our internal laboratories, meeting regulations like UNE EN ISO 15025 - Test method for a limited spreading of flames - with a A1-A2 result. Regulation UNE-EN ISO 9151 - Determination of heat transmission in exposition to flames - with a B1 result; and it also meets regulation UNE EN ISO 6942 - Evaluation of materials and sets of materials when being exposed to a radiant heat source - obtaining the C1 result. This fabric is also used in the sector of fire curtains, under regulation EN ISO 13501-1.
