REGENERATED PLAIN-WEAVE PARA-ARAMID FABRIC

The PARATEX 400P fabric is inherently flame-retardant due to its composition of recycled para-aramid fibres. It has a weight of 400 g/m² and a width of 150 cm. Its plain weave provides high dimensional stability and strength, making it ideal for industrial and protective applications. The regenerated fibres, sourced from recycling processes, promote a circular economy without compromising the flame-retardant properties of the fibres, maintaining their effectiveness throughout their lifecycle. Additionally, it offers high mechanical resistance, abrasion resistance, cut resistance, and vibration resistance.

The PARATEX 400P fabric is widely used to manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, aprons, and neck protectors, as well as covers for welding robots in industries like automotive and metallurgy. It is ideal for applications requiring high mechanical and thermal resistance, withstanding continuous temperatures up to 200°C and peaks up to 400°C. It is also used for cable and hose coverings, protecting them from heat and abrasion. It is important to note that para-aramid is sensitive to UV light, which can darken the fabric and slightly reduce its mechanical properties with sun exposure.

PARATEX 400P is a multifunctional and durable solution suitable for demanding industrial environments, combining resistance, durability, and thermal protection. Texfire also offers the PARATEX 400 with a herringbone weave and the PARATEX 460ALP with an aluminised coating, ideal for protection against radiant heat and molten metal splashes.

PARATEX 400P has been tested in Texfire's internal laboratory, surpassing the ISO 15025 standard for limited flame spread resistance.
