ARAMID FABRIC PARATEX 400
REGENERATED PARA-ARAMID HERRINGBONE FABRIC
The PARATEX 400 fabric is an inherently flame-retardant material made from regenerated para-aramid fibers, with a weight of 400g/m² and a total width of 150cm. Its herringbone weave provides a flexible and durable structure, ideal for various industrial and protective applications. The recycled para-aramid fibers make it a sustainable solution, promoting a circular economy without compromising the intrinsic flame-retardant properties of the fibers, maintaining their effectiveness throughout their entire lifespan. Additionally, the fabric offers high mechanical resistance, abrasion resistance, cut resistance, and vibration resistance.
PARATEX 400 fabric is primarily used in applications requiring high mechanical and thermal resistance, able to withstand continuous temperatures up to 200ºC and peaks up to 400ºC. It is ideal for manufacturing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, aprons, and neck covers, as well as welding robot covers, used in sectors like automotive and metallurgy. It is also suitable for hose and cable coverings, offering protection against heat and abrasion. It is worth noting that para-aramid is sensitive to UV light, which can cause the fabric to darken and slightly reduce its mechanical properties when exposed to sunlight.
PARATEX 400 fabric presents itself as a versatile and robust solution for demanding industrial environments, combining resistance, durability, and thermal protection. Texfire also offers the PARATEX 460ALP reference, which has an aluminized coating ideal for applications requiring protection against radiant heat and molten metal splashes.
PARATEX 400 has been tested in Texfire's internal laboratory, surpassing the ISO 15025 standard for limited flame spread resistance.
