FIRE BLANKET BAG
FLAME RETARDANT BLANKET WITH TEXTILE COVER. UNE EN 1869 CERTIFICATION.
The Texfire fire extinguisher fire blanket features the CE marking and European certification UNE EN 1869, meeting the technical requirements detailed in the RIPCI. Designed and manufactured in Barberà del Vallès (Spain), it is a safety element that can be used to extinguish small fires or as a thermal shield for personal protection to cover and prevent burns during an evacuation or escape from a fire.
Unlike conventional fiberglass fire extinguisher blankets, the Texfire fire extinguisher blanket is made of NT PREOX 200 non-woven fabric with pre-carbonized fibers that act as a fire barrier due to their inherent flame-retardant properties and their good performance when in direct contact with flames (does not burn, melt, or drip). The fibers used do not irritate the skin, and its needle-punched structure makes it a soft, lightweight, and flexible blanket that is easy to handle.
The edges of the blanket are finished with an overlock seam, with red flame-retardant Nomex® meta-aramid thread. It also includes two pull tabs, indicated with reflective arrows, to facilitate its extraction in case of emergency. The blanket is fully reversible and can be used interchangeably on both sides. It includes instructions for use, maintenance, and folding.
All fire extinguisher fire blankets manufactured by Texfire have a shelf life of 20 years from the date of manufacture, as required by regulations, even though the fabric of the blanket maintains its flame-retardant properties throughout its useful life.
In this model, the blanket is folded inside a textile case with a bottom opening with Velcro closures, indicated with arrows, for easy extraction in emergency situations. Additionally, the case has a metal anchor on the back for hanging it on the wall. On the front, it includes explanatory drawings for correct identification and use. Available in 3 sizes.
The BAG fire extinguisher blanket has been developed to be a versatile passive fire protection equipment, as its case allows it to be stored both in the trunk of any vehicle and in a hotel room.
