ALUMINIZED AND FLAME RETARDANT THERMAL COVER FOR IBC CONTAINER OF 1.000 LITERS

The flame retardant cover for a 1,000-liter IBC container has been designed to maintain the internal temperature of the IBC container for as long as possible. Made with Texfire’s ALTOX multilayer fabric, this flame retardant fabric acts as a thermal shield protecting against heat sources.

The aluminized side of the fabric provides protection from radiant heat. Additionally, it is completely waterproof and flame resistant. This cover is used to protect and thermally insulate the barrels and their contents. Being opaque, it also provides UV protection. The aluminized, flame retardant cover for 1,000-liter cubic IBC containers measures 120x100x117 cm, with a thickness of 4 mm and a total weight of 2.7 kg.

This cover is also notable for its lightweight design and ease of handling, allowing a single person to install it quickly and effortlessly. Its flame retardant Velcro side closure enables a snug fit and makes installation easy.

The cover leaves the lower base of the IBC container uncovered so that it can be handled with a forklift without removing it, or for positioning heating bases or palletizing. The front side is foldable and secures with Velcro closure. It also has two small openings, one on the front and one on the top, for quick access to the faucet and the upper fill cap.

Its optimal operating temperature range is between -5ºC and a maximum temperature of 80ºC.

The properties and technical qualities of the cover are due to Texfire’s ALTOX fabric. Tested in our internal laboratories according to UNE EN ISO 6942 - Assessment of materials and material assemblies when exposed to a radiant heat source - obtaining the highest C4 rating. According to UNE EN ISO 9151 - Determination of heat transmission when exposed to a flame - resulting in B2, as a protective barrier against convective heat. And according to ISO 15025 - Limited flame spread, methods A and B.
