SEMICIRCULAR FLAME RETARDANT CARPET FOR SPARKS OR HOT EMBERS FROM STOVES AND CHIMNEYS

Texfire’s semicircular flame retardant carpets had been designed to protect floors from sparks, embers, or ashes generated during combustion in a fireplace or stove. Its confection with WELD SX multi-layered fabric, with inherent flame retardant fabrics, ensures flame retardant protection regardless of use or over time. This protective floor carpet comprises a fibreglass nucleus with a silicone coating for high temperatures on the top side and a pre-carbonized plush on its lower side. This plush performs as a thermal insulator, decreasing heat transference and protecting the floor from marks and burns caused by sparks or incandescent embers.

Semicircular flame retardant carpets must be used with the shiny black side always upwards, this silicone side not only protects from incandescent embers but also is impermeable and repels water greases and oils. The plush-type side must be kept in contact with the floor, performing as a thermal barrier and heat insulator. To avoid damaging the carpet or the floor, we recommend removing any incandescent material that can fall onto the carpet as soon as possible.

This floor protector is very light and flexible and can be stored by rolling it with the included clamping rubber band. In addition, it can be washed easily with a wet cloth. Its semicircular design is an aesthetic appeal that eases its daily use in reduced domestic areas. Carpets for chimneys are finished with a black bias in all their perimeter that are tailored with flame retardant thread. Texfire offers two sizes for semicircular flame retardant carpets:

• 120x50 cm

The fabric used in the making of this carpet complies with part of the EN ISO 13501-1 standard - Classification based on the fire behavior of construction products and building elements - achieving results A2 s1 d0 and B s1 d0.
