Fire resistant carpet for fireplace designed to protect floors from coals, embers or hot charcoals from chimneys or stoves. Tailored in rectangular shape with Texfire’s exclusive WELD SX multi-layered fabric.
This flame retardant carpet for fireplaces is composed of a fibreglass basis with a special silicone coating for high temperatures that repels sparks and embers (shiny black side) and a non-woven of pre-carbonate fibres in its inside-out face that performs as a thermal barrier. The pre-carbonate fibre side notably reduces heat transference, protecting laminated, wooden or stoneware-type floors. Its composition of flame retardant fibres ensures its flame retardant protection besides the uses or time. In case of emergency, it is suitable to suffocate an incipient fire.
Texfire’s rectangular fire resistant carpet is suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor covered areas. It always must be placed with its plush-type side in contact with the floor, and keep the shiny silicone side on top. Silicone is waterproof and repels water and oils, allowing you to clean any kind of dirt with a wet cloth. It is important to remove as soon as possible any incandescent material that may fall on the carpet’s surface.
Carpets for chimneys are available in 3 different sizes:

- 150x100 cm
This carpet is a technical product that performs as a floor protector. It is finished with a black bias in all its perimeter and tailored with flame retardant thread. It can be stored easily by rolling it with the provided elastic band.
The fabric used in the making of this carpet complies with part of the EN ISO 13501-1 standard - Classification based on the fire behavior of construction products and building elements - achieving results A2 s1 d0 and B s1 d0.

USE RECOMMENDATIONS.
- Always place the plush side in contact with the floor and the silicone side in exposure to the source of sparks or embers.
- Remove, as soon as possible, all incandescent fragments that may fall on top of the carpet.
- Store it in a roll to extend its lifespan. Save it after every use in open air.
- Do not vacuum, rub or brush the plush side. The silicone side can be washed with a wet cloth.
- Never use alcohol or solvents, flammable remains can stay over the carpet’s surface.
- Check the carpet’s status before every use.
