THERMAL INSULATION NT SILICA 1300

Texfire’s non-woven flame retardant NT SILICA 1300 is a silica fiber plush of 1300 g/m2 and a thickness of 12 mm. Silica fibers confere it great resistance to a direct contact with flames and high temperatures, without any kind of additional resin or chemical binder. In addition, it offers very good thermal and acoustic insulation features. It stands out because of its good behavior to extreme temperatures and its composition that does not irritate skin, easing all handling and cutting operations. In contrast with fiberglass or rockwool plushes, this one does not release as much fibers from it.
NT SILICA 1300 non-woven has an exceptional thermal resistance and withstands temperatures of 950ºC in continuous work. Its great insulating features and its resistance to high temperatures turns it into a suitable mat to tailor thermal cases or quilts. Perfect as a thermal barrier, it’s commonly found as an internal layer in multi-layered laminations for thermal mats or textile laggins, due to its easiness to handle and its good thermal behavior. Its non-woven structure brings it volume and flexibility, with a pleasant touch, it’s able to adapt to complex geometries.
NT SILICA 1300 has been tested in internal laboratories with the following tests:, NFP 92502 (reaction to fire) with a Class M1 classification. It also meets the standards of regulation EN ISO 15025 with an A1-A2 classification (Limited flame spreading).
