Texfire receives european funding for innovation in technical textiles

On June 4, 2024, TEXFIRE, along with other partners from the AEI Tèxtils cluster, was selected to participate in the European In Transit programme, securing funding of 49,000 euros. This support will enable TEXFIRE to validate and advance its latest developments in technical protective textiles, specifically oriented towards the electric mobility sector, thereby reinforcing its commitment to safety and sustainability.

Project Details

In Transit is an initiative funded by the European Union aimed at fostering innovation across various sectors, including textiles. TEXFIRE was one of the few selected from 144 proposals submitted by 197 SMEs, standing out for its innovative approach to the safety and efficiency of its textile products, as well as its commitment to global sustainability.

Impact and Future

Thanks to this funding, TEXFIRE will be able to advance its research and development projects, focused on the validation and improvement of its line of fire blankets for containing fires in lithium batteries and electric vehicles.
