Texfire receives european funding for innovation in technical textiles

On June 4, 2024, TEXFIRE, along with other partners from the AEI Tèxtils cluster, was selected to participate in the European In Transit programme, securing funding of 49,000 euros. This support will enable TEXFIRE to validate and advance its latest developments in technical protective textiles, specifically oriented towards the electric mobility sector, thereby reinforcing its commitment to safety and sustainability.

Project Details

In Transit is an initiative funded by the European Union aimed at fostering innovation across various sectors, including textiles. TEXFIRE was one of the few selected from 144 proposals submitted by 197 SMEs, standing out for its innovative approach to the safety and efficiency of its textile products, as well as its commitment to global sustainability.

Impact and Future

Thanks to this funding, TEXFIRE will be able to advance its research and development projects, focused on the validation and improvement of its line of fire blankets for containing fires in lithium batteries and electric vehicles. This achievement not only strengthens TEXFIRE's position in the market but also underscores its contribution to the progress of the textile sector towards safer and more sustainable solutions.

CEO's Words

Joan G. Mujal, CEO of TEXFIRE, commented: "This recognition is a validation of our continuous effort to innovate and improve the safety of our products. We are committed to continuing to develop advanced textile solutions for a more sustainable world."

Conclusion

TEXFIRE's participation in the In Transit programme and the funding received demonstrate the company's potential and capability to lead innovation in the technical protective textiles sector in the face of electric mobility. With this support, TEXFIRE is well-positioned to continue its mission of providing safe and sustainable products, significantly contributing to the evolution of the sector.
