Texfire participates in the conference on fire safety in lithium batteries, held at the Valdemoro Fire Station.
On May 9th, Texfire participated in an event focused on the risks associated with lithium batteries and the different safety solutions available to control and extinguish fires that can occur in different types of batteries. This event, organized in collaboration with the Fire Department of the Community of Madrid, took place at the Valdemoro Fire Station and attracted numerous professionals from various emergency and security bodies, as well as private companies.
During the event, Texfire had the opportunity to present and demonstrate two of its fire-fighting products: the car fire blanket and the electric scooter fire blanket. These blankets are specifically designed to smother fires in combustion engine cars and to control fires caused by lithium batteries, a growing problem due to the increasing use of electric vehicles and personal mobility devices such as electric scooters and bicycles.
The day began with a series of informative talks where the challenges associated with the storage and transportation of lithium batteries, as well as the proper management of the waste they generate, were discussed. Later, in the practical session, fire drills in cars and electric scooters were conducted to evaluate the action protocols in case of fire.
Texfire stood out for the effectiveness of its fire blankets, demonstrating their ability to control flames and contain deflagrations, minimizing damage to the surroundings and greatly facilitating the work of fire departments.
Participation in this event allowed Texfire to emphasize its commitment to safety and innovation regarding fireproof textile solutions. Additionally, the fire blankets also proved effective as a complement to current fire-fighting systems.
