The PRO E-FORKLIFT fire blanket has been developed to deal with fires involving forklifts, both electric models with lithium batteries and combustion models, where extremely high temperatures can be reached. Thanks to its technical composition, it is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 1,500°C, providing an effective solution for the containment and control of high-intensity fires in industrial and logistics environments.
Available in dimensions of 5x5 metres (25 m²) and 7x7 metres (49 m²), the PRO E-FORKLIFT blanket can cover most forklifts, adapting to the different sizes and configurations commonly found in industrial environments. The blanket weighs approximately 16 kg in the 5x5-metre format and 31 kg in the 7x7-metre format, and incorporates four holding handles for easier handling. For correct placement and safety reasons, at least two people are recommended for deployment.
The PRO E-FORKLIFT fire blanket is supplied in a duffel bag that makes it easy to transport and store. Thanks to its Z-folding system, it can be deployed and positioned over a burning forklift in less than 20 seconds, enabling rapid intervention in critical situations.
The fabric used to make this blanket has the official EN 13501-1 certification — classification according to the fire performance of construction products and building elements — achieving an A2-s1-d0 classification.
In addition, the blanket complies with DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11, which establishes the technical and quality requirements for fire blankets intended for electric and combustion vehicles, guaranteeing safe and reliable performance in real emergency conditions.
The use of this blanket offers multiple advantages over other fire-fighting systems, such as powder extinguishers or water hoses:

WARNING FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Using this blanket on electric equipment will help prevent the flames from spreading, but it is unlikely to completely extinguish the fire. When an electric vehicle or piece of equipment catches fire, battery acids can generate flammable gases.
This means that even when a blanket is used to “smother” the fire, the battery may continue to generate enough combustible gases to make it difficult to completely extinguish the fire.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
It is recommended that at least two people are involved in placing the blanket over the affected forklift or equipment.
Do not remove the blanket from the burning equipment without the supervision of the emergency services.
The PRO E-FORKLIFT fire blanket can be reused provided that it has not suffered serious structural or functional damage during use. The user is responsible for checking that the blanket is in optimal condition after each use, as well as for its correct cleaning, folding and storage.
CLEANING AND RECONDITIONING THE BLANKET
The customer is responsible for checking the condition of the blanket after each use, as well as for folding it correctly for storage.
If the blanket has not suffered significant damage that could compromise its functionality, the following guidelines are recommended:
- Surface cleaning: remove dirt, debris or particles.
- Washing: use water only. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach or solvents that could damage the material.
- Drying: allow to air dry completely before storage.
- Storage: ensure that the blanket is completely dry before folding it and storing it in its cover, following the specified folding method.
If there is any doubt about its condition after use, Texfire recommends replacing the blanket to ensure maximum effectiveness in future emergencies.
