FIRE BLANKET FOR ELECTRIC AND GASOLINE CARS
The fire extinguishing blanket for cars by Texfire is designed to extinguish fires in gasoline vehicles and to contain flames in electric cars.
Available in 2 sizes, 6x9 m (54 m²) and 10x8 m (80 m²), these blankets can cover any size of car in case of fire, including SUVs and off-road vehicles. For proper placement and for safety reasons, the intervention of at least 2 people is recommended in case of a fire. They include 4 handles to facilitate handling, 2 dark-colored on the right side and 2 light-colored on the left side.
The fire-resistant fire blanket for cars by Texfire is made of fiberglass fabric coated on both sides with a special polymer for high temperatures. This fabric is certified according to the UNE EN 13501 standard.
The effectiveness of the car fire blankets lies in their ability to control and suppress flames. In electric cars, the blanket helps keep the fire under control and greatly facilitates the work of emergency services.

The car extinguishing blanket is delivered in a textile duffel bag to facilitate its transport and storage. As an option, for the 9x6 m blanket, Texfire offers a wall-mounted rigid cabinet, with rubber seals that prevent the penetration of water and dust. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES WARNING
Using this blanket in electric vehicles will help prevent flames from spreading, but it will hardly completely extinguish the fire. When an electric vehicle catches fire, battery acids generate flammable gases. This means that even if a blanket is used to "smother" the fire, the battery will generate enough combustible gases to prevent the fire from being completely extinguished.
USE RECOMMENDATIONS
- It is recommended that at least two people be involved in placing the blanket over the vehicle.
- Do not remove the blanket from the burning vehicle without the supervision of emergency services.
CLEANING AND RECONDITIONING OF THE BLANKET
The customer is responsible for ensuring the blanket is in perfect condition after each use, as well as folding it properly for storage.
If the blanket has not suffered significant damage that could affect its functionality, follow these recommendations for cleaning and storage:
- Surface cleaning: Remove dirt, debris or particles.
- Washing: Only water may be used. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach or solvents that could damage the material.
- Drying: Allow the blanket to air dry completely before storing it.
- Storage: Ensure the blanket is completely dry before folding and placing it in its case. It is recommended to follow the provided folding instructions.
