HIGH TEMPERATURE FABRIC EGLA 1000V
FIBERGLASS FABRIC WITH VERMICULITE COATING FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES.
Fabric for high temperatures EGLA 1000V is a flame retardant fabric composed by a textured fiberglass base, using thick degree threads (900tex), which bring the fabric some volume and mechanical resistance. Designed to work at high temperatures, being able to resist up to 600ºC in continuous working and 750ºC in working peaks. The vermiculite coating improves the resistance to abrasion and increases the dimensional stability, enhancing the fabric’s useful life. E-glass fiberglass confer some good mechanical features and a good behavior before fire, sparks or incandescent metal splashes.
Flame retardant fabric EGLA 1000V is widely used to contain projections derived from welding processes and operations, cutting, grinding, deburring, oxycut, plasma cutting, etc. It is used as a welding blanket; it resists very well to the impacts of sparks or incandescent particles at high speed. EGLA 1000V fabric has an enclosed and voluminous structure suitable for situations where the fabric is required to contain sparks or to avoid the crossing of incandescent elements. If subjected during long periods to incandescent elements impacts, the fabric will perform well, containing those particles, but it won’t avoid the temperature transference to the other side of the fabric. Even though, the fabric will maintain all its structural integrity.
Thanks to its vermiculite coating, it also offers a great resistance to abrasion caused by vibrations from part in movement, turning it into a suitable fabric to tailor lagging or protection cases.
Fabric EGLA 1000V has been tested in Texfire’s internal laboratories, with regulation UNE EN ISO 15025 – Protection against flames. Testing method for limited flame spreading. - with an A1 –A2 result.
- It resists continuous temperatures of 600ºC and peak temperatures of 750ºC.
- Fabric’s thickness 1,3 mm, 1.035 g/m2 and useful width of 100 cm.
