In Texfire we design, manufacture and commercialize a complete Technical Fabric’s catalogue, developed to protect spaces or people in specific situations, where risks derived from fire, high temperatures, high mechanical exigences or acoustic insulation needs appear, among others. We have a lamination rolling mill, a technical weaving and our own laboratory where we dayly develop quality tests and at the same time it let us investigate with new materials appearing in the market.

    Texfire’s non-woven fabrics, also known as mats or felts, are a web of discontinuous flame retardant fabric, oriented and placed randomly over a surface, and joined to each other by a needles that intertwines them to be handled as a whole, as a fabric.

    These type of textile constructions, designed to be used as thermal insulators, offer very interesting qualities because they have a considerable width with really low grammages. The width of layers in thermal insulation is a determinant fact, and with non-wovens excellent thermal barriers are reached without exceeding the weight of its whole. They are products designed mainly to meet an insulating function, even acoustically and in the internal layers is where their qualities are squeezed in its best.

    Texfire’s fiberglass EGLA fabrics have a mineral origin, mainly composed by silica (SiO2), in order to offer good thermal qualities. These fabrics belong to the E-GLASS category and are very used to tailor all kind of flame retardant elements, insulating, able to withstand high temperatures and maintain their mechanical resistance keeping their flexibility and lightness.

    These fabrics are composed by continuous filaments in order to raise their pulling resistance and their superficial softness, either they could be customized to raise their thermal insulating capacities. In normal conditions, they offer a continuous thermal resistance up to 550ºC. They are very used as the core of textile constructions for high temperatures due to their good mechanical qualities.

    Aluminized fabrics are laminated in Texfire’s facilities and they are divided in two groups, depending of the aluminium sheet nature:

    • Aluminized fabrics that directly use a aluminium layer (AL fabrics), that show an excellent resistance to direct flame contact.

    • Aluminized fabrics that use a film recovered by aluminium powder (ALPET fabrics), which offer the highest values regarding radiant heat reflection, without compromising the fabric flexibility.

    Texfire coatings are made paring from a flame retardant textile basis and a coating is applied to boost or increase functional and technical features.     Los tejidos no-tejido de Texfire, también llamados mats o fieltros, son una red de fibras ignífugas discontinuas, orientadas y depositadas de forma aleatoria sobre una superficie, y unidas entre sí mecánicamente por unas agujas que las entrelaza para poder ser manipuladas en conjunto, como si de un tejido se tratara.

    Este tipo de construcciones textiles, para aplicaciones de aislamiento térmico, ofrecen unas cualidades muy interesantes porque ofrecen un grosor considerable con gramajes realmente bajos. Para el aislamiento térmico el grosor de las capas textiles es un factor determinante, y con los no-tejidos se consiguen excelentes barreras térmicas sin aumentar en exceso el peso del conjunto. Son productos diseñados principalmente para cumplir la función de aislamiento, incluso acústico, y donde mejor se aprovechan sus cualidades es en las capas interiores.

    Texfire’s multilayered fabrics are defined as being textile laminations, designed and manufactured to cover very specific technical or functional needs. In most cases, the aim is to add and look for synergies among properties of each fabric, joining them to get a unique multilayered fabric.

    The complete range of multilayered fabrics is flame retardant and brings technical solutions like impermeability, insulation against radiant heat, resistance to melted metal splashes, acoustic insulation and high resistance to welding sparks. Texfire manufactures multilayered solutions, that come from 2 up to 5 layers from different fabrics, they are laminated, which eases the confection processes.
