WELDING HOOD T400

COMFORTABLE AND ULTRA-LIGHT HOOD FOR WELDING.

This flame retardant hood for welders is designed to protect head, neck, and shoulders during welding tasks. This hood is produced with Weld T400 fabric, inherent flame retardant and ultra-light, exclusively produced by Texfire. Weld T400 is composed by a meta-aramid fabric covered by a special silicone for high temperatures, it is able to resist the impacts of incandescent particles derived from welding operations, radial cutting and oxycutting. It has been developed to tailor protection garments for welders, being an alternative to leather. Weld T400 is a fabric that does not dry out in contact with humidity, as it happens with leather, and it is resistant to water and oils.

Texfire proposes a very light only weighting 250 grams, flexible and comfortable hood, that can be washed to remove bacteria or bad odors derived from sweat. Its flame retardant features are inherent, which means that this feature is not lost over time, nor with the tearing caused with use or washes. The thread of the seams and the locking system is also flame retardant. The thread in the locking system has been designed rounding its edges, so it does not cause scuff marks on the neck’s area.

This flame retardant hood for welders are suitable for use under any type of helmet, adapting to the head flawlessly and providing a high degree of comfort. This is caused due to its flexibility and lightness, which allows moving the head freely without causing scuff marks on the neck or shoulders. Its frontal fastening system avoids that sparks enter the internal layers.
It is also suitable for welders that use welding masks or welding helmets, completely covering the head’s top area, ears, and nape.

Texfire’s Weld T400 fabric meets regulation EN ISO 11611 - Protection clothing used during welding and related techniques. And it has been tested according to regulation EN ISO 9185 - Protection clothing. Resistance evaluation of materials to melted metal splashes, obtaining a classification D3-E3. Tests performed in Texfire’s internal laboratories.
