Flame retardant multilayer welding fabric WELD SX, it has a composition designed to offer maximum protection during any welding job, no matter the distance or plane where the fabric is placed. WELD SX fabric withstands temperatures of 550ºC in continuous workload up to 1300ºC in peak workloads (UNE 23727 - M2 certified). Weld SX is a fabric that works very well against splashes of molten liquid metals, especially with iron / steel at 1400ºC and aluminum at 800ºC.

WELD SX welding fire resistant multilayer fabric is created to protect working areas where a fire risk or the chance to damage any object, operator or surface exist. According to Leitat textile laboratory report, this fire resistant fabric offers protection againts the impact of small splashes of melted metal which gives it a CLASS 1 classification with a medium value of 37 drops according to ISO 9150:88 specifications.
WELD SX is a fabric that works very well against splashes of melting liquid metals, especially with Iron / steel at 1400ºC and aluminum at 800ºC. The molten metal slides along the siliconized surface of the fabric, does not stick, and that prevents the transfer of temperature to the other side of the fabric.
