Nonwoven needling NT PREOX 500 AL of pre-oxidized fibers,
has a layer of 12 aluminium micron on one side, that offers a high resistance to passage of flames or fire. To its great features as an insulator and fire barrier of NT PREOX500 Mat this aluminium layer is added to improve even more its qualities as a heat shield and enhance the insulation of convective, radiant or direct flame heat sources. It is an ideal fabric to soft welding works, plumbing, boilermaking and welding with material input. It does resist greatly to direct impacts with plumbing blowtorches.

NT PREOX 500 AL fabric can withstand temperatures up to 300ºC in continuous work arriving to withstand temperatures up to 700ºC in peak workloads. It admits its use horizontally and vertically. The flames of the blowtorch must be always faced to the face where the black colored Mat is.
