NON-WOVEN FR TECSTAR 180
TECSTAR’S FLAME RETARDANT NON-WOVEN FABRIC, WITH LOW SMOKE EMISSION.
NT TECSTAR 180 is a non-woven fabric made of Tecstar® synthetic fibers, its composition of reticulate polyacrylate composition turns it into a flame retardant non-woven fabric, that when is subjected to high temperatures or with a direct contact with flames it does not burn, nor melt or leaks, but it carbonizes without spreading the flame. It stands out because of its antistatic, antibacterial and antimicrobial features. Its non-woven structure brings thermal and acoustic insulating features. NT Tecstar offers great resistance to chemicals and UV beams, totally free of asbestos and with a soft and pleasant touch.
NT TECSTAR 180 non-woven fabric has a thickness of 0,6 mm and a weight of 160 g/m2, it is able to resist temperatures up to 250ºC in continuous works. It is widely used as an internal layer in flame retardant laggings, as a flame retardant barrier in fillings and tapestries in means of transportation, flame retardant linings, and also as in manufacturing filters for gases. Another of its main uses is as a fire blanket. Its antistatic, antimicrobial and antibacterial features, turn it into a multi-sectoral fabric, suitable for any kind of public place exposed to people, without being harmful.
NT TECSTAR 180 has been tested in internal laboratories with the following tests: ISO 9151 - Determination of heat transmission in exposure to a flame -, B1 result, NF P 92503 - Reaction to fire - with a Class M1 classification. It also meets the standards EN ISO 15025 - Limited flame spreading - with an A1-A2 classification.
